Projects we Support

Projects we Support

At I-hub we have recognised projects that would be extremely beneficial to key areas around New Zealand.

These are all projects in which we support. However, without the vital support needed whether it be lack of financial backing, a limited knowledge and experience base, or just not being “In the loop” with the right contacts, all of which are imperative attributes to enable their success.

For some of us foresight comes natural, but this is not always the case, which results in many talented people with amazing projects and ideas that would never see the light of day.

A good example of this would be the underground and light rail network that Sir Dove Myer Robinson had the foresight to see.

This underlines just how important it is to harness the foresight and realise how much of an asset this idea would have been if it had come to fruition. Makes you wonder just how this would have impacted Auckland today!

Thankfully times have changed and there are more of us out there with the ability to recognise great ideas and their potential.

Below we have some brief examples of the projects we support. If you would like to be kept “In The Loop” with the latest projects please contact us.

Tram to Sumner, Christchurch

This has long been an idea that has been pushed around the drawing board. By listing this we hope to get interested parties in all areas to help make this positive attraction and service happen. Contact us to be kept "In the loop".

Cable Car, Highgate, Dunedin

It doesn't matter at what level you want to be involved. This is a project that needs to happen and will take support at a variety of levels to see it through . A cable car in Dunedin would be such an asset to the city boosting tourism and creating an excellent commuter service to the city.

Other cities have gondolas, however a cable car in Dunedin would re-establish and help to preserve the history of Dunedin. This would give a point of difference to a city which is already recognised for its historic buildings and landmarks, having a cable car will enhance it further, making it an attractive option and functional in its use to rate payers and visitors showing the beauty of Dunedin’s expansive harbour and city views. contact us to be kept "In the loop".

Monorail network, Auckland

Auckland is it a big little city, or is it a super city? Is the transport network behind the eight ball compared to our competitive overseas other? Ask those who currently use the public transport services and I am sure that this would be an initiative they would strongly support.

Wouldn’t it be good to see an international transport network linking key parts of the city together?

We have got some interesting ideas that with the right people involved could change Auckland. I am sure money spent on this sort of infrastructure would be money better spent than building party venues for the world cup.

Jump on board, contact us to be kept "In the loop". Maybe it will be private investment that brings Auckland’s infrastructure up to international standards.
